Dunedin Drug Rehab and Alcohol Treatment Centers

Rational Steps

The major drug and substance abuse rehabilitation facility operating in the Dunedin city area is called the Rational Steps program. It is located at 1591 Main Street. The primary focus of this facility involves acting as a mixture of mental health and substance abuse services provider for members in and around the community. It offers a few different types of care for people to choose from depending on their needs, including both traditional outpatient drug rehab and intensive outpatient (also referred to as IOP) options.

Services, Payments, And Treatment Options

Among the services provided by the facility include rehabilitation treatment against prescription drugs. These can include but are not limited to over the counter medications like Kolonopin, Adderall, Lunesta, cough medicine, Xanax, Hydrocodone, Percocet and more. Additional treatment is also available for traditional "Street" drugs like crack, cocaine, heroin, ecstasy, marijuana and various types of opiates.

The facility accepts a few different types of payment depending on the nature of a person's treatment. For private and luxury drug rehabilitation, for example, cash is always accepted. Other forms of self payment that are applicable include check, money order and even credit card payment. Medicare is also accepted, though Medicaid is not currently accepted at this time. Many different health plans from private insurance companies are also accepted at the center, including those from companies like United Healthcare, Humana, ComPsych, Oxford Health Plans, Health Alliance, NGS Coresource and more. Finally, patients may choose to pay with military insurance. This can include plans provided by both the VA and Tricare.

A sliding fee payment assistance program is also available that people can apply for depending on their needs. Once all necessary paperwork has been collected, the total fee that a person is asked to pay will be adjusted based on their total income and a variety of other socioeconomic factors.
