Drug and alcohol dependence kept me from living a happy life until I found help through drug rehab. My life was changed one night when I overdosed and woke up in the hospital. The doctor told me if I used again I would probably die because my heart couldn't take it any more. I was scared at that point that I might die because I knew I couldn't stop on my own so I told my parents that I had a drug and alcohol dependence and that I needed help to go into drug rehab.
